A no-holds-barred collection of hard-hitting tracks shaped by late-night jams out the back of the local racing track, the album encapsulates the best of modern Australian rock; loud, tenacious, socially conscious and full of good humour.

At the heart of the album are distinct lyrics of story telling rooted in social observation, personal resilience, and the absurdity of modern life.

Fuelled by the spirit of pioneers like The Clash, MC5, and The Saints, Dirt Road Wave channel the energy of their influences while carving their own urgent and purposeful path. They not only feel the musical lineage to these acts, but sadly recognise that a lot of the issues these bands were taking aim at 40 or 50 years ago are still relevant today, and indeed form a large part of Dirt Road Wave’s lyrical focus and intent.

'Dirt Road Wave’ is equal parts catharsis and commentary. Set to the backdrop of driving rhythms, razor-sharp guitars, and punchy vocals, it’s a sound as raucous as it is reflective.
